Founded by two dentists, UDP is dedicated to reducing the administrative and non-clinical burdens of practice management so dental professionals can prioritize patient care. With 21 offices, UDP supports general dentists, pediatric specialists, orthodontists, oral surgeons, and hygienists in providing comprehensive care that meets and exceeds patient expectations.Role Description This is an on-site Oral Surgeon role located in the Greater Chicago Area. The Oral Surgeon will perform a full scope of oral and maxillofacial procedures, including extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, and other surgical treatments, while maintaining high standards of patient safety and comfort. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans in collaboration with referring dentists and specialists, and delivering evidence-based surgical care. The role also involves educating patients and families about procedures and post-operative care, documenting clinical findings and treatments accurately, and working closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient scheduling and workflow. The Oral Surgeon is expected to contribute to a positive, inclusive practice culture and support UDP’s commitment to exceptional patient experiences.QualificationsValid DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school and completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program.Current Illinois dental license (or eligibility to obtain) and appropriate anesthesia/sedation permits.Clinical expertise in oral surgery procedures, including extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, and management of oral pathology.Strong diagnostic, treatment planning, and case management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with general dentists and specialists.Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, including clear communication, informed consent, and compassionate chairside manner.Ability to work efficiently in a busy practice environment, with attention to detail in clinical documentation and compliance.
