Organizational Leadership
BEI Advisors · Yuma County, AZ
Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe opportunityOne thing up front: this role is for someone with direct, hands-on experience running or implementing EOS, Scaling Up, or a similar business operating system. General experience leading teams, on its own, is not a fit. If you have not worked inside one of these systems, this is not the right role for you.We help mid-market companies build a business that runs without the owner in every decision. We do it by installing Better Built Leadership, our leadership operating system that brings together common business principles like those found in EOS, Scaling Up, the Rockefeller Habits, the Danaher Business System, and Oliver Wight, into one clear way to run a company. We're looking for someone to do what our owner does today: sit in the room with a leadership team every month, coach their weekly leadership team meeting, and turn a talented but scattered group into an aligned team that actually executes. This is a consulting role, and it is a full seat on our team as a W-2 employee, not a contract gig. You lead the work, and we build it together.A high percentage of our clients are in the food and agriculture industry, so strong preference will be given to candidates with experience or a background in agriculture, though it is not required.Who we areBEI Advisors is an operator-led firm. We don't hand clients a report and walk away. We embed with their leadership team, roll up our sleeves, and stay until the discipline holds on its own. A few things guide how we work, and we hire people who share them:Partnership first. We build alongside the team, not from the outside. BEI-led, then built together, then client-run.Change through listening. Buy-in is earned by listening to a client's people from day one, never announced from the top.Respect always. Respect for the client and their people is non-negotiable, in every room and every hard conversation.Bias to build. We'd rather build the scorecard and run the first meeting than talk about it. We do the work.Better every day. Continuous improvement is the point. We leave every team measurably better than we found them. What you'll accomplish in your first yearThis role is measured by outcomes, not activity. Within your first twelve months, you will:Lead the Better Built Leadership install for three to five client leadership teams: their vision and 1-to-10-year strategic plan, a clear org structure with defined roles, weekly scorecard, quarterly priorities, and meeting rhythm.Coach each team's weekly leadership meeting and monthly leadership workshop, moving them from us running it in Year 1 to them running it independently.Facilitate the conversations most consultants avoid: the right people in the right roles, clear process ownership, and where accountability has gone missing.Spot the mega-process flows that cross departments, find the gaps where work falls between the seams, and turn them into projects. Scope and oversee the resulting Better Built Operations and Better Built Finance work, tracking status, timelines, and deliverables so nothing slips.Help owners let go of the decisions only they make today, so the business stops depending on them for every call.Leave each team measurably more aligned, with a short set of numbers they truly watch and follow through on quarter after quarter. You'll thrive in this role ifYou've personally led teams or an entire organization through EOS or Scaling Up, as an implementer, integrator, or operator, not just observed it.You can see where a process breaks down across functions and know how to turn that into a focused improvement project. You track project status, timelines, and deliverables with discipline, and keep several workstreams moving at once without dropping the details. You enjoy working with owners and leaders in the food and agriculture industry. You facilitate well under pressure and can hold a room of strong personalities to a decision. You'd rather build alongside a team than deliver a deck, and you follow through until it sticks. You lead with respect, listen first, and earn trust quickly with owners and their people. The detailsLocation. Remote, with periodic travel to client leadership meetings.Compensation. Total target compensation of $140,000 to $220,000, base depending on experience, plus excellent referral bonus incentives.Type. A full W-2 seat on the BEI team, delivering senior consulting work.Timing. We'll leave this posted until we meet the right person. No rush, high bar.How to applySend a cover letter to Brittany McAnally at brittany.mcanally@beiadvisors.com.
