As they continue to expand, they are investing in strengthening their clinical capabilities, product development, and quality systems to support the evolving needs of orthodontic practices and their patients.Their team brings together clinical expertise, digital technology, and advanced manufacturing to develop and deliver orthodontic appliances that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.We're looking for an experienced Clinical Support Specialist to join their team and work closely with their Lab Clinical Director.The Clinical Support Specialist will be instrumental in fostering a culture of learning and development while supporting clinical projects, appliance design, quality initiatives, and customer education. This role combines clinical orthodontic knowledge with hands-on experience in orthodontic appliances, digital workflows, and laboratory processes.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental anatomy, orthodontic treatment principles, appliance construction, and design philosophy. This position will work closely with orthodontists, clinical teams, lab technicians, and internal departments to support appliance design, troubleshoot clinical and operational issues, and help ensure the highest standards of quality and customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesAppliance Planning & Design: Develop and plan orthodontic appliances to ensure the highest quality of care and alignment with clinical requirementsDesign Coaching: Provide expert design coaching and guidance to orthodontic practices on orthodontic appliances and design considerationsCollaborative Design: Work closely with orthodontists to co-design appliances tailored to specific patient needs and clinical requirementsSpecialty Design Support: Serve as a resource for orthodontic specialty design questions and provide guidance to ensure accurate and effective appliance fabricationClinical Support: Apply knowledge of dental anatomy, orthodontic treatment principles, tooth movement, and orthodontic mechanics to support clinical decision-making and appliance designWarranty & Quality Assurance: Oversee warranty claims and product warranties and assist with identifying opportunities to improve product qualityError & Remake Investigation: Investigate errors, remakes, and other quality concerns and develop strategies to reduce rework and improve overall qualityInventory & Product Management: Assist with managing inventory pricing and product information and help ensure the lab maintains accurate and competitive pricing structuresCross-Departmental Workflow: Develop a comprehensive understanding of workflows across various departments within the lab and identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencyCustomer Service: Communicate directly with orthodontic practices to answer questions, resolve issues, provide guidance, and build strong, lasting relationshipsProblem-Solving: Troubleshoot issues related to appliance design, fit, function, fabrication, and workflow while developing effective solutionsTraining & Development: Support learning and development initiatives by sharing clinical knowledge and providing guidance to internal teamsContinuing Education: Stay current with developments in orthodontic technology, techniques, materials, and digital workflows through continuing education and professional developmentTask Management: Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced laboratory environmentQualificationsActive Dental or Orthodontic Assistant License: An active licensed Dental or Orthodontic Assistant credential is requiredOrthodontic Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience working with orthodontic appliancesClinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of orthodontic treatment principles, dental anatomy, tooth movement, orthodontic mechanics, appliance construction, and materialsAppliance Knowledge: Hands-on experience with orthodontic appliances and a strong understanding of appliance design and fabricationDigital Dentistry: Familiarity with digital dentistry, CAD/CAM, and 3D printing technologies is a plusCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with orthodontists, lab technicians, and other healthcare professionalsTechnical Communication: Ability to explain complex clinical and technical concepts in an understandable mannerProblem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to appliance design, fit, function, and qualityCustomer Service Orientation: Commitment to providing high-quality customer service, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships with orthodontic practicesTeamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment, share knowledge, and collaborate with colleagues across
