Team members work in a supportive environment focused on innovation, patient satisfaction, and professional growth.Availability: Tuesdays to start.Role Description The Orthodontic Hygienist is a full-time, on-site role based in Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON. This role involves providing orthodontic and preventive hygiene care, including performing dental cleanings, assisting with orthodontic procedures, and supporting treatment plans under the supervision of dentists and orthodontists. Daily responsibilities include assessing oral health, educating patients on hygiene and orthodontic care, applying sealants and other preventive treatments, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient records. The Orthodontic Hygienist also supports infection control protocols, prepares and maintains operatory and instruments, and collaborates closely with the dental team to deliver a positive, efficient, and patient-centered experience. Flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to clinical excellence are essential.Qualifications Strong clinical skills in hygiene and dental care, including routine cleanings, assessments, and patient education.Experience or training in dentistry and orthodontic procedures, with the ability to support treatment planning and chairside assistance.Knowledge of infection control, sterilization standards, and safe clinical practices in a modern dental setting.Ability to apply sealants and other preventive treatments accurately and efficiently.Valid Dental Hygienist license/registration in Ontario and good standing with the relevant regulatory body.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-centered service skills, with a calm and professional chairside manner.Comfort with digital dental technologies, charting software, and modern clinical equipment.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to evolving practice protocols.Previous experience in orthodontics or a strong interest in orthodontic care is an asset.
