Job SummaryThe Orthodontist is responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and facial irregularities, including malocclusions and misaligned teeth. The role involves developing treatment plans, providing orthodontic treatments, and ensuring high standards of patient care and clinical excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesExamine, diagnose, and assess orthodontic conditions and dental irregularities.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages.Fit, adjust, and monitor orthodontic appliances, including braces, retainers, aligners, and other corrective devices.Monitor treatment progress and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired outcomes.Maintain accurate and complete patient records, treatment notes, and clinical documentation.Educate patients and their families regarding treatment options, oral hygiene, and post-treatment care.Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.Ensure compliance with all clinical, ethical, and regulatory requirements.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing professional development activities.Handle patient concerns professionally and maintain high patient satisfaction standards.QualificationsDoctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.Specialty qualification in Orthodontics from a recognized program.Valid UAE Ministry of Health (MOH), or Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license/eligibility as an Orthodontist.Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Orthodontist preferred.Proficiency in modern orthodontic techniques, including fixed appliances and clear aligner therapy.
