Job SummaryThe Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon is responsible for providing specialized medical and surgical care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, and disorders. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing complex orthopaedic cases, performing surgical procedures, and ensuring high standards of clinical care, patient safety, and treatment outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, diagnose, and manage patients with musculoskeletal injuries, deformities, and orthopaedic conditionsPerform elective and emergency orthopaedic surgical procedures in accordance with clinical privileges and approved standardsDevelop individualized treatment plans, including surgical and non-surgical management, and provide postoperative follow-up careCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Radiology, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, and other surgical specialtiesQualificationsMedical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) with recognized postgraduate specialization in Orthopaedic SurgeryValid SCFHS professional classification and registration as a Consultant Orthopaedic SurgeonMust have experience in either Arthroplasty (Joint Replacement Surgery) or Paediatric Orthopaedic SurgeryHospital experience with a strong background in multidisciplinary patient care is required
