OT Engineer - 1 Year Contract

We are seeking an experienced OT Engineer to join one of our clients within the Oil & Gas industry. The successful candidate will provide expertise across Operational Technology (OT), industrial control systems, automation, and OT cyber security, supporting operating facilities, modifications, upgrades, and brownfield projects.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise and operational support for OT systems, industrial control systems, and automation infrastructure.Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of OT programs and cyber security initiatives.Maintain and support OT networks, control system architecture, and industrial communication systems.Support OT cyber security incident response, recovery, audits, assurance, and compliance activities.Provide engineering support for facility modifications, automation upgrades, and brownfield projects from design through implementation, commissioning, and handover.Support and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, SIS, ESD, Fire & Gas systems, and turbine/compressor/pump control systems.Ensure OT systems and engineering activities comply with applicable industry standards, cyber security requirements, and functional safety practices.Work closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, automation, and cyber security teams to ensure the reliability and security of OT environments.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent relevant discipline.ISA/IEC 62443 Cyber Security Certification.Cyber Security for Industrial Control Systems (ICS/OT) training.Preferred QualificationsMAC Engineering and Maintenance Training.Functional Safety Awareness Training covering IEC 61508 / IEC 61511.Experience & Technical Requirements15+ years of experience in instrumentation, control systems, automation engineering, and/or operations support within the Oil & Gas industry.In-depth knowledge of OT networks, industrial cyber security, and control system architecture.Proven experience developing and supporting OT programs within the Oil & Gas industry.Hands-on experience supporting OT cyber security within an operating environment.Experience working on facility modifications, automation upgrades, and brownfield projects, including design, implementation, commissioning, and handover.Strong knowledge of DCS, PLC, SIS, ESD, Fire & Gas Systems, and turbine/compressor/pump control systems.Good understanding of industrial communication protocols.Experience supporting OT incident response and recovery, audit, and assurance activities.Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, cyber security requirements, and functional safety requirements applicable to the Oil & Gas sector.
