OT / ICS Cybersecurity Engineer

Applications from candidates unwilling to relocate will not be considered.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced OT / ICS Cybersecurity professional who has worked directly in industrial plants and production environments. The role involves securing industrial systems such as PLCs, SCADA, DCS, HMIs, and industrial networks without affecting plant operations or causing downtime. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on OT security experience, good communication skills, and confidence in working directly with customers and plant teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead OT cybersecurity assessments, workshops, and remediation activitiesConduct vulnerability assessments and identify security gaps in OT environmentsReview and assess security of PLCs, SCADA systems, DCS systems, HMIs, and industrial networksPerform audits based on standards such as IEC 62443 and NERC CIPRecommend security improvements and develop remediation roadmapsAdvise customers on OT security best practices and cybersecurity trendsSupport proposal creation and define project scope based on customer requirementsEnsure all security improvements are implemented without impacting production operationsWork closely with customers, plant teams, and internal teams during project executionRequired Skills & ExperienceMinimum 8-10+ years of OT / ICS cybersecurity experienceConsulting background preferred, ideally with a Big 4 firmStrong hands-on experience working inside industrial or plant environmentsExperience securing operational technology and industrial control systemsExperience working in production environments where downtime is not acceptableGood understanding of OT network architecture, segmentation, industrial communication protocols, and secure remote accessHands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability assessment toolsExperience conducting OT security audits and compliance assessmentsKnowledge of IEC 62443, NERC CIP, or similar OT security standardsCertifications (preferred)IEC 62443 (Cybersecurity Expert / Specialist)CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)CISSP or CISMAny additional OT/ICS-specific security certificationsPreferred Industry BackgroundOil & GasPower & UtilitiesPetrochemicalsManufacturingCritical InfrastructureCandidate ProfileConsulting background preferred, Big 4 experience a plusPractical plant-floor experience (not purely IT background)Strong problem-solving and communication skillsAble to explain technical risks and solutions clearly to customersComfortable in client-facing and consulting rolesAble to work independently and lead OT security engagementsBased in Saudi Arabia preferred, or willing to relocateHands-on OT / ICS cybersecurity experience in industrial or critical infrastructure environments is mandatory.Contact: ak@opticlaim.co
