The hospital offers opportunities to contribute directly to quality care and operational excellence across its facilities.Role Description The OT Technician will support surgical teams in the operation theatre by preparing rooms, instruments, and equipment for procedures, and ensuring all materials are sterilized and available as per protocol. Daily responsibilities include assisting surgeons and nursing staff during operations, managing surgical instruments and supplies, maintaining strict infection control standards, and documenting relevant OT activities. The role also involves checking and maintaining OT equipment, coordinating with other clinical and support staff, and helping with patient transfer to and from the OT. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gorakhpur, requiring consistent presence during scheduled OT hours and emergency procedures.Qualifications Formal training or certification as an OT Technician or in operation theatre technology from a recognized institution.Knowledge of surgical instruments, OT procedures, and sterilization techniques, with the ability to follow clinical protocols accurately.Understanding of infection control, aseptic techniques, and patient safety standards in a hospital setting.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, follow instructions from surgeons and nurses, and communicate clearly.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the capacity to remain calm and focused in high-pressure clinical situations.Basic computer skills for recording OT activities and maintaining logs; familiarity with hospital documentation practices is an advantage.Prior experience in an operation theatre or acute care environment is preferred but motivated candidates with relevant training are encouraged to apply.
