The college fosters a welcoming, student-centered environment that emphasizes personal growth and community engagement.Role Description The Owner at University of Hawaii Maui College will oversee the strategic direction, operational effectiveness, and overall performance of the institution. This full-time, on-site role is located in Albuquerque, NM and involves providing leadership for academic programs, student services, and administrative functions to ensure alignment with the college’s mission and accreditation standards. The Owner will collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to enhance student success, expand program offerings, and support budgetary and resource planning. Daily responsibilities include reviewing institutional performance metrics, guiding policy development, supporting compliance and risk management, and representing the college in external meetings and community initiatives. The role also includes mentoring leadership teams, fostering an inclusive campus culture, and promoting continuous improvement across departments.Qualifications Demonstrated leadership and management skills in higher education or a related organizational environment, including strategic planning and organizational development.Experience with academic administration, accreditation processes, and policy and procedure development relevant to colleges or universities.Strong financial and operational oversight abilities, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance evaluation.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and community partners.Proven commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices in educational or organizational settings.Advanced degree in education, public administration, business, or a related field is preferred; relevant professional experience may be considered.Capability to work on-site in Albuquerque, NM on a full-time basis and adapt to evolving institutional needs and priorities.
