The company is committed to maintaining high service quality while supporting safe and sustainable maritime operations.Role Description The Owner role at Yasmine Shipping is a full-time, on-site position based in Sousse, Tunisia, overseeing the overall direction and performance of the maritime agency. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, including vessel call coordination, port agency activities, cargo-related processes, and ship support services to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient service delivery. The Owner will build and maintain relationships with ship owners, operators, port authorities, and other stakeholders, negotiating contracts, monitoring service quality, and handling key commercial decisions. Responsibilities include supervising staff, setting operational standards, ensuring adherence to maritime regulations and environmental requirements, and managing financial performance, budgeting, and strategic planning. The Owner is expected to identify opportunities for business growth, optimize internal processes, and represent Yasmine Shipping in industry and client meetings.Qualifications Strong knowledge of maritime agency operations, port procedures, vessel call management, and cargo coordination.Experience in shipping, logistics, or maritime services, ideally with bulk and container vessel operations.Leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance oversight, and workforce development.Business and financial management capabilities, including budgeting, cost control, contract negotiation, and strategic planning.Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with ship owners, operators, port authorities, and service providers.Understanding of maritime environmental standards, ship waste management practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to accuracy and operational efficiency.Effective written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in French and English is highly beneficial, Arabic fluency is an asset.Capability to work on-site in Sousse, Tunisia, with flexibility to respond to vessel schedules and operational emergencies.Relevant academic background in maritime studies, logistics, business administration, or a comparable field, or equivalent professional experience.
