Role Description The Owner role at Special Olympics in Bengaluru is a full-time, on-site leadership position responsible for overseeing program operations, strategic direction, and organizational growth within the region. This role involves managing day-to-day activities such as coordinating sports training and events, supervising staff and volunteers, and ensuring that programs align with the mission of serving individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Owner will develop partnerships with schools, community organizations, sponsors, and government agencies, while stewarding resources and budgets responsibly. This position also includes guiding fundraising initiatives, maintaining compliance with organizational policies, and fostering a culture of inclusion, safety, and respect for all participants and stakeholders.QualificationsExperience in organizational leadership, program management, or operations oversight, ideally in non-profit, sports, or community services settings.Background in stakeholder management, including collaborating with volunteers, donors, partner organizations, and government or community agencies.Strong skills in planning, budgeting, and resource management, with the ability to prioritize initiatives and meet program objectives.Ability to build and lead inclusive teams, provide clear direction, and maintain a supportive environment for staff and volunteers.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent Special Olympics professionally in public, community, and stakeholder engagements.Commitment to the mission of Special Olympics and to inclusion, accessibility, and respectful engagement with individuals with intellectual disabilities.Bachelor’s degree in management, social work, sports management, or a related field; advanced education or certification in non-profit management is an advantage.Prior experience working with disability communities or in inclusive sports programs is highly beneficial.Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru, with flexibility for evening and weekend events as needed.
