Paediatric Interventional Radiology Consultant

Role SummaryProvide specialized Pediatric Interventional Radiology services, performing advanced image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents within a tertiary care setting.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform a broad range of pediatric interventional radiology procedures, including vascular access, biopsies, drainage procedures, embolization, and treatment of vascular malformations.Provide expert consultations and recommendations for pediatric patients requiring minimally invasive image-guided interventions.Collaborate closely with Pediatric Surgery, Oncology, Gastroenterology, Neonatology, Intensive Care, and other multidisciplinary teams.Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and treatment planning discussions.Ensure adherence to radiation safety, quality standards, and evidence-based clinical practices.Support teaching, training, and mentoring of residents, fellows, and junior medical staff.Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities.Mandatory QualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent.Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology.Fellowship in Pediatric Interventional Radiology (Mandatory).Specialist/Consultant qualification recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.Education, residency, fellowship, and board certification from Tier 1 countries (USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand).ExperienceMinimum 3 years post-board experience as a Consultant Pediatric Interventional Radiologist.Experience in a tertiary pediatric hospital, children's hospital, or academic medical center.Demonstrated expertise in complex pediatric vascular and non-vascular interventions.PreferredExperience in a Pediatric Center of Excellence.Academic, teaching, and research experience.Publications or involvement in Pediatric Interventional Radiology research.
