Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Lahore, Pakistan, Descon maintains strong safety credentials, holding ISO, ASME, and OHSAS certifications and earning recognition from international safety bodies.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Arab Emirates for a Paint and Coating Foreman or Supervisor. The role involves planning and supervising all paint and coating activities, including surface preparation, application, curing, and inspection in industrial and construction environments. The foreman or supervisor will allocate tasks, coordinate labor and equipment, monitor work progress, and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety procedures, and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include interpreting drawings and job orders, checking material availability, organizing tools and heavy equipment, resolving technical or site issues, and maintaining accurate records of work completed and resources used. The role also requires close collaboration with project engineers, HSE teams, and other trades to meet timelines, support maintenance and repair work, and deliver safe, durable coating solutions.Qualifications Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, workload planning, and performance monitoring.Ability to safely operate and coordinate heavy equipment related to surface preparation and coating activities.Effective communication skills for coordinating with site teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.Basic carpentry and related trade skills to support surface preparation and minor structural adjustments.Maintenance skills to manage coating repairs, protective systems upkeep, and periodic inspections.Hands-on experience in industrial painting and coating, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure projects.Good understanding of coating systems, surface preparation standards (e.g., SSPC/NACE), and quality inspection methods.Knowledge of HSE procedures and ability to enforce safety protocols in line with international and company standards.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work packs, and job specifications.Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience in industrial painting/coating supervision.
