DreamColors Industry is actively expanding its network of distributors, wholesalers, and international partners, creating opportunities for professionals interested in growth-oriented environments.Role Description The Paint Chemist role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Korangi District. The Paint Chemist will formulate and optimize aerosol paint systems, including resins, pigments, solvents, and additives, to meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and conducting laboratory experiments, performing physical and chemical testing of paint samples, and analyzing data to improve viscosity, coverage, adhesion, drying time, and durability. The role also involves collaborating with production teams to scale formulas from lab to manufacturing, troubleshooting process and product quality issues, and supporting OEM and private label projects with technical input. The Paint Chemist will document formulations, maintain laboratory records, and contribute to continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing efficiency.Qualifications Chemical formulation and analysis skills, including experience with paints, coatings, resins, pigments, solvents, and additives.Laboratory testing and quality control skills, such as physical property testing, chemical analysis, and adherence to standard test methods.Process and production support skills, including scale-up from lab to plant, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and optimizing production parameters.Safety and regulatory awareness, with knowledge of relevant environmental, health, and safety standards and handling of chemicals in an industrial setting.Strong documentation, data analysis, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to interpret test results.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in R&D, production, and quality assurance.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; experience in paint or coatings industry is highly desirable.Ability to work on-site in the Korangi District and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
