Job DescriptionThe primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician (Painting & General Maintenance) is to ensure high quality surface finishes, general maintenance, and operational readiness across all apartments and operational locations in Dubai. This role combines professional interior/exterior painting skills with essential general handyman duties including plumbing, basic electrical repairs, carpentry, and appliance maintenance to support daily property operations and maintain high hospitality standards.The Maintenance Technician is also expected to demonstrate flexibility and teamwork by supporting operational requirements across departments, particularly Support Services and Housekeeping, when peak business needs arise.Responsibilities:Perform professional interior and exterior painting tasks, surface preparation, priming, plastering, drywall patching, and specialty finishing.Carry out general plumbing repairs, clearing clogged drains, replacing washers/faucets, fixing toilets, and addressing minor pipe leaks.Handle basic electrical maintenance, such as fixing switches, outlets, light fixtures, and minor circuit troubleshooting following strict safety rules.Conduct general property and carpentry repairs, including fixing doors, handles, hinges, cabinet touch-ups, floor fixes, and furniture assembly/repairs.Assist in installing and maintaining home appliances (washing machines, televisions, air conditioning units, and guest amenities).Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests reported by guests or staff to ensure swift issue resolution and guest satisfaction.Conduct routine property inspections, identifying and proactively resolving defects before guest check-ins.Maintain clean, organized, and safe toolkits and work sites; track maintenance tasks and adhere strictly to safety and regulatory standards.Mandatory cross-departmental support for Housekeeping and Operations during peak periods or operational needs.Participate in cross-training initiatives and maintain a collaborative, team-oriented approach.Perform other operational duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Painter or Maintenance Technician, preferably in hospitality or residential property management.Proven practical skill in surface preparation, drywall repair, and painting techniques.Strong practical knowledge of basic plumbing, light electrical work, carpentry, and appliance repair.Good knowledge of Dubai locations and navigation.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Reliable, punctual, organized, and flexible with working hours and shifts.Willingness to assist across departments and support operational needs when required.Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
