Palliative Medicine - Consultant / Specialist

We invite applications from physicians experienced in palliative care. The role focuses on improving comfort and quality of life for patients with serious illness through compassionate, coordinated care. Keen to review suitable candidates for potential part time/ visiting CBD engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and manage pain and other distressing symptoms in patients with serious illness.Develop individualised care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the treating teams.Support clear, sensitive discussions about care goals and treatment preferences.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and outpatient services.Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to quality and patient safety initiatives.Qualifications & Experience:Medical degree and a recognised qualification in Palliative Medicine, or an eligible specialty qualification with recognised Hospice and Palliative Medicine subspecialty training, in accordance with DHA requirementValid DHA licence or DHA registration/eligibility for the applicable Specialist or Consultant title.Post qualification experience of 8-10 years essential.Demonstrated experience in symptom management, complex care planning and multidisciplinary patient care.
