This position supports students in classroom and small-group settings, reinforcing instructional activities under the guidance of licensed educators. Daily responsibilities include assisting with lesson implementation, providing individualized academic and behavioral support, and helping maintain a positive, safe learning environment. The Paraprofessional may assist with accommodations and modifications, support students with special needs, and help with classroom organization and materials. The role also involves collaborating with teachers and other school staff, monitoring student progress, and promoting respectful, inclusive interactions.Qualifications Ability to support classroom instruction, follow teacher direction, and assist with implementing lesson plans and learning activities.Skills in providing individualized student support, including academic reinforcement, behavior support, and assistance with accommodations or modifications.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, educators, families, and school staff.Capacity to maintain a safe, orderly, and inclusive learning environment, including supervising students in classrooms, hallways, and common areas.Basic computer and educational technology skills for accessing student resources, documentation, and online learning tools.High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or an associate degree in education or a related field is preferred.Experience working with children or youth in educational, childcare, or community settings is highly beneficial.Commitment to equity, confidentiality, and adherence to district policies and state regulations.
