Part time Qur'an and Islamic Studies Teacher - Weekend

Role Description This is a part-time, weekend Qur'an and Islamic Studies Teacher role, based on-site at Learngate Educational Institute in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons on Qur’anic recitation (tajweed), memorization, and understanding, as well as core topics in Islamic beliefs, worship, morals, and daily life. Daily responsibilities include preparing age-appropriate lesson plans, teaching small groups and classes, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to learners and their families. The teacher will maintain a respectful, inclusive classroom environment, use varied instructional methods and educational resources, and collaborate with institute staff to align content with Learngate’s educational standards. Additional duties may include participation in parent meetings, student events, and ongoing curriculum improvement.QualificationsStrong knowledge of Qur’an, tajweed, and foundational Islamic studies, with the ability to teach students of different ages and levels.Experience in classroom teaching or tutoring, including lesson planning, student assessment, and classroom management.Clear, empathetic communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred.Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and culturally sensitive learning environment that supports diverse learners.Relevant educational background in Islamic Studies, Sharia, Education, or a related field; formal training from a recognized institution is an advantage.Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, professional integrity, and serving as a positive role model.Willingness to work on weekends on-site in Dubai and collaborate with colleagues and families to support student growth.
