Partner - M&A & Capital Markets Location: Shanghai preferred; other locations in China or Asia considered for candidates with strong European connectivity. About the RoleARC Group is looking for an experienced Partner - M&A & Capital Markets to originate new mandates across our international investment banking platform. The role has a particular focus on cross-border opportunities between Europe and Asia.This is a senior origination and client coverage role for an established banker or advisor with senior relationships, a proven commercial track record and an active opportunity pipeline. Candidates may be strongest in either M&A or Capital Markets; expertise across both is not required.The initial focus is on originating and converting mandates by leveraging existing relationships and active opportunities. For the right individual, there may be scope over time to help build broader market coverage.Key ResponsibilitiesOriginate and convert new M&A and/or Capital Markets mandatesLeverage, nurture and deepen existing senior relationships with corporates, founders, shareholders, sponsors, investors and other decision-makersAdvance existing opportunities while developing a high-quality pipeline of future mandatesLead client discussions and identify strategic, transaction and financing needsWork with ARC’s execution teams to progress opportunities from initial discussion through mandate and executionDevelop cross-border business, particularly between Europe and AsiaIdentify relevant cross-selling opportunities across M&A, Capital Markets, financing and strategic advisoryRepresent ARC with clients, intermediaries and senior market participantsRequirements Recent senior-level experience in investment banking or transaction-focused advisory, with direct relevance to M&A or Capital MarketsEstablished senior relationships across corporates, founders, shareholders, sponsors, investors or relevant intermediariesCredible near-term opportunities that can translate into mandatesStrong expertise in either M&A or Capital Markets; experience across both is advantageous but not requiredStrong commercial judgement, independence and ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environmentFluent English; additional European or Asian languages are an advantageWhy ARC GroupGlobal platform with deep roots in Asia and strong international reachIntegrated capabilities across M&A, Capital Markets, financing, and strategic advisoryDedicated execution support, allowing senior bankers to focus on origination and relationshipsHigh autonomy and direct access to senior leadershipCompetitive base compensation with significant performance-linked upsideApplication Process: Candidates may apply directly through the job post, or submit their CV to: careerSH@arc-group.comSubject line: Partner – M&A & Capital Markets - [Name] Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
