Applicants join a firm that operates at the intersection of policy, technology, and impact-driven consulting.Role Description:The Partner x CEO x Head of Defense Drones (USA) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in San Francisco, CA, responsible for building and overseeing WCG’s defense drone practice in the United States. This role will define strategic direction, develop service offerings, and lead business development initiatives with government agencies, defense contractors, and technology partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting operational priorities, managing key client engagements, supervising project teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and security standards. The position also involves coordinating research and innovation in defense drone technologies, shaping market positioning, and representing WCG in high-level meetings, briefings, and industry forums. The leader in this role will collaborate closely with other WCG practices to integrate defense drone capabilities into broader consulting solutions.Qualifications: Experience in defense technology, unmanned systems, or aerospace, including strategic leadership and program management in related fields.Strong background in business development, client relationship management, and partnership building with government agencies and industry stakeholders.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and align operational execution with organizational strategy.Knowledge of U.S. defense, security, and export control regulations, as well as risk management and compliance in technology-focused environments.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to brief senior officials and technical audiences clearly.Advanced analytical and decision-making skills, including experience with market analysis, financial planning, and performance measurement.Master’s degree in engineering, defense studies, business, public policy, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, MS, or similar) is preferred.Prior executive or partner-level experience in consulting, defense, or technology organizations is highly beneficial.Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.Eligibility to work on defense-related projects in the United States; security clearance or the ability.
