This person will manage spare-parts sales, order processing, purchasing, inventory control, and materials coordination for industrial machine-tool customers.This is a hands-on role requiring strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret parts information, drawings, machine records, and bills of materials. The successful candidate will serve as an important link between customers, suppliers, production, service, shipping, and accounting.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to customer inquiries for repair and replacement parts by phone and email; prepare accurate quotations and follow up to convert opportunities into orders.Identify and cross-reference required parts using machine serial numbers, parts lists, assembly drawings, individual drawings, and internal records.Process customer sales orders in the ERP/MIS system, issue order acknowledgements, and create related work orders and purchase orders for non-stock or manufactured items.Manage purchasing activities, including obtaining supplier quotations, issuing purchase orders, receiving materials in the system, expediting overdue orders, and handling vendor returns.Maintain inventory accuracy through stock reports, rolling inventory counts, discrepancy investigation, warehouse-location updates, and replenishment of high-volume spare parts and raw materials.Maintain part records, bills of materials, routings, supplier information, customer contacts, machine records, and part-number cross-reference files.Coordinate with shop personnel on material availability, tooling, threaded stock, raw bar stock, and work-order requirements.Support shipping operations as needed, including preparing bills of lading, arranging LTL freight, coordinating special transportation, monitoring international shipments, and assisting with customs-clearance matters.Work closely with service personnel to identify repair parts and prepare quotations and parts lists for major machine repairs.Provide occasional back-up support for invoicing, credit-card processing, collections follow-up, and customer account communication.Supervise and coordinate the daily priorities of assigned warehouse/shop personnel, review reported time, and provide first-level approval of time-off requests.Assist with general facility and operational coordination as requiredAnnual Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 (base + bonus/commission)Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
