Senior Researcher – Patient-Centred Outcomes (COA / PRO) Hybrid / Flexible / Remote Working Options - To £60k DOE + BenefitsAre you working in Patient-Centred Outcomes, Clinical Outcome Assessments or Patient-Reported Outcomes and perhaps looking for a fresh challenge?We’re supporting a well-established, global healthcare outcomes consultancy looking to strengthen its Patient-Centred Outcomes research team with an experienced Senior Researcher. It's an opportunity to work across a broad client portfolio and varied clinical research programmes. The work will be focused on understanding and measuring the patient perspective and supporting the selection, development, validation and implementation of Clinical Outcome Assessments used within clinical development.The Role in SummaryYou’ll take ownership of projects from planning through to delivery, acting as a key client contact and leading multidisciplinary project teams. Projects can include qualitative patient and caregiver research, COA/PRO development and validation, measurement strategy, clinical trial research and patient preference work.Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading qualitative and quantitative patient-centred outcomes research projects
• Designing and conducting qualitative research with patients, caregivers and/or clinicians
• Supporting the development, selection and validation of PROs and other COAs
• Managing day-to-day client relationships and contributing to strategic discussions
• Managing project timelines, budgets and deliverables
• Reviewing scientific outputs and ensuring consistently high-quality work
• Leading and mentoring junior researchers within project teams
• Contributing to proposals, new business opportunities and scientific disseminationWhat Our Client is looking forThe key requirement is relevant experience within COA/PRO, patient-centred outcomes or a closely related healthcare research discipline.You’ll ideally bring:
• Approximately 3–6+ years’ relevant research experience, depending on level
• Strong qualitative research experience involving patients, caregivers and/or clinicians
• Experience of PROs and/or other Clinical Outcome Assessments
• Experience independently leading research projects
• Confidence managing pharmaceutical/life sciences clients
• Strong project management and scientific communication skills
• A relevant academic background such as psychology, health psychology, psychological research methods, sociology, life sciences or a related disciplineExperience of psychometric validation, regulatory interactions, patient preference research or quantitative methods would be advantageous, but strong qualitative COA experience is particularly valuable.We’re also interested in speaking with researchers from academia or adjacent healthcare research environments where there is strong, directly transferable patient research and project leadership experience.Why consider it?One of the biggest attractions is the breadth of work. Remote could be an option for the right candidate. They have offices in the North and South of England.Salary:Base salaries are competitive and up to £60k dependent on experience and can be discussed during our initial conversation.
