Responsibilities

Answer telephones and greet patients in a professional, customer-focused mannerCheck in patients, confirm documentation, and enter registration details into electronic systemsVerify insurance coverage, process referrals and authorizations, and collect co-pays or balances dueSchedule and confirm appointments and diagnostic tests based on provider and patient availabilityMaintain accurate patient records, support patient flow, and coordinate with clinical and administrative staff

Qualifications

High school diploma or GEDAt least 1 year of clerical or service experience, preferably in a medical environmentExperience using an electronic medical record systemKnowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA guidelinesStrong customer service, communication, organizational, and multitasking skillsAbility to communicate effectively in EnglishDesired Skills:Experience in a high-volume healthcare settingBilingual communication skills in Mandarin or CantoneseFamiliarity with registration, billing, and scheduling systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic office systems
