Payment Compliance Lead

Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Payment Compliance Lead to build and lead the compliance framework for our global stablecoin payments business.This role will oversee compliance across our cross-border B2B payment activities, ensuring that products, customers, and transactions meet regulatory and AML/CFT requirements. You will work closely with Compliance, Risk, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Sales to develop practical controls, policies, and processes that support business growth while maintaining strong compliance standards.The ideal candidate has experience in cross-border payments, fintech, banking, PayTech, or digital assets, with strong knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions, transaction monitoring, KYB/KYC, and payment compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesPayment Compliance FrameworkBuild and maintain the compliance framework for our global stablecoin payments businessDevelop and maintain policies, SOPs, controls, and governance covering AML/CFT, sanctions, KYB/KYC, and transaction monitoringTranslate regulatory requirements into practical, risk-based processes across different marketsContinuously assess and enhance the framework as our products and payment corridors expandTransaction & On-Chain ComplianceOversee compliance controls across the customer and payment lifecycleDevelop risk-based transaction monitoring and escalation processes for cross-border B2B paymentsEstablish appropriate controls for complex or high-risk payment flows, including third-party payments and self-hosted walletsOversee on-chain compliance controls, including KYT, wallet screening, and source-of-funds assessmentMonitor emerging crypto and financial crime risks and update controls accordinglyRegulatory & Business SupportMonitor regulatory developments across key markets and assess their impact on the businessSupport new product, payment corridor, and market launches from a compliance perspectiveWork with Legal and local Compliance teams to ensure alignment with local requirementsAct as a compliance advisor to Sales, Operations, Product, Risk, and other business teamsProduct & ProcessPartner with Product and Engineering to embed compliance controls into payment workflows and systemsIdentify opportunities to automate compliance processes and improve operational efficiencyEnsure compliance controls remain effective as transaction volumes and business complexity scaleTeam LeadershipBuild and lead the Payment Compliance team as the business growsEstablish clear processes, standards, and escalation frameworksDrive continuous improvement in compliance effectiveness and operational efficiencyTake ownership of complex compliance matters and provide hands-on guidance to the teamVision & MissionOSL is the first SFC-licensed digital asset platform in Hong Kong and a PayFi innovator.
