Combined with our vast network and extraordinary customer-centric approach, we are the obvious choice in helping you find your next home.Humans of HR is working with an established Canadian organization to find a Payroll Coordinator to join their team.This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys a hands-on role and wants to take ownership of day-to-day payroll administration within a busy, growing organization.The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with sensitive employee information while managing deadlines and competing priorities.About the RoleYou will be responsible for supporting the full payroll process, from regular payroll processing and employee inquiries through to reconciliations, reporting, and year-end requirements.You will work closely with the broader finance and administrative teams and will have the opportunity to take on a broad range of payroll responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess regular payroll accurately and on scheduleMaintain payroll records and employee informationCalculate and process payroll deductions and other adjustmentsComplete payroll reconciliations and assist with financial reportingPrepare payroll-related documentation and year-end requirementsSupport employee inquiries related to payroll and deductionsAssist with expense reporting and other payroll-related administrationEnsure payroll processes are completed in accordance with applicable legislationSupport audits, reporting, and other payroll projects as requiredMaintain confidentiality of employee and financial informationWhat We're Looking For1-2+ years of payroll experience in CanadaStrong understanding of Canadian payroll practices and legislationExperience managing payroll from processing through to reconciliationStrong attention to detail and numerical accuracyExcellent organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills and a service-oriented approachProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentAssetsPCP designation or progress toward PCPExperience with a recognized payroll systemExperience supporting payroll for multiple business unitsExperience in a unionized environmentExposure to U.S. payrollAt Humans of HR, we support the development and growth of our candidates to reach their full potential.
