Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole SummaryThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and timely payroll services for an assigned portfolio of regional and international clients. You will take ownership of payroll delivery across the full client lifecycle—from implementation and monthly payroll processing through to statutory compliance, client support and continuous improvement—ensuring payrolls are delivered securely, accurately, on time, and to the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities1) Payroll ImplementationConfigure payroll parameters, pay elements, processing schedules and client payroll settings for new implementationsGather and validate payroll documentation required for compliant payroll setupTrain clients on payroll processes and input requirementsPerform payroll testing and parallel runs prior to go-live 2) Payroll DeliveryManage the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle for an assigned portfolio of clientsReview, reconcile and validate payroll inputs, employee changes and payroll calculations, including salaries, tax and social securityPrepare payroll reports, reconciliations and supporting documentation for clients and statutory requirements Ensure payrolls are delivered accurately, compliantly and within agreed client deadlines 3) Compliance & ReportingPrepare and submit statutory filings, declarations and registrations in accordance with local legislationMonitor legislative changes and ensure payroll processes remain compliantMaintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information 4) Client Relationship ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for payroll-related client enquiriesCommunicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders, providing transparent and timely updates and resolving issuesSupport clients with payroll changes, customisations and ongoing operational requirements 5) Continuous ImprovementInvestigate payroll discrepancies and technical issues before escalating, raising clear technical tickets where requiredIdentify recurring issues and recommend process improvementsFollow company procedures and quality standards while maintaining up-to-date payroll knowledge through ongoing trainingSkills & Competencies· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy· Strong analytical and reconciliation skills· Excellent written and verbal communication· Strong organizational and time management skills· Client-focused with a proactive approach to problem solving· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software· Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive informationExperience & Qualifications· Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll, accounting· Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration· Experience processing payrolls, preparing financial reconciliations or supporting statutory reporting· Strong understanding of numerical analysis, controls and data accuracy· Experience working with ERP, payroll or finance systems· Experience supporting multiple countries or legal entities is advantageousWhat success looks likeSuccess in this role means delivering accurate and compliant payrolls on time, building trusted client relationships, proactively resolving issues, maintaining high standards of quality, and contributing to the continuous improvement of payroll processes.Why Join UsJoin an award-winning regional leader in payroll, recognized for delivering exceptional payroll solutions across the Middle East.
