Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Title: Payroll AdministratorPosition SummaryAdminister payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees.Process payroll-related employee changes, including new hires, rehires, promotions, compensation updates, tax changes, benefit deductions, bonuses, leave of absence updates, expense reimbursements, garnishments, and child support orders.Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and agreements.Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.Provide payroll support to employees and collaborate with internal stakeholders as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll for multiple employee groups, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, earnings, deductions, benefits, and other adjustments.Review, validate, and maintain payroll records and supporting documentation before each payroll cycle.Prepare and transmit payroll-related data, including tax withholdings, benefit deductions, retirement contributions, reimbursements, and other payroll inputs.Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve errors in a timely manner.Ensure payroll transactions comply with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as internal policies and applicable labor agreements.Maintain audit-ready payroll files, records, and documentation in support of internal controls and compliance requirements.Respond to employee questions related to pay, deductions, reimbursements, taxes, and payroll policies.Review and process employee expense reimbursements for accuracy and policy compliance.Identify exceptions or issues in payroll and reimbursement processing and escalate or resolve as appropriate.Partner with HR, Finance, Benefits, and other internal teams to support payroll accuracy and employee data integrity.Required Skills and QualificationsExperience processing payroll in a high-volume or multi-employee environment.Knowledge of payroll practices, wage and hour requirements, tax withholdings, and employee deductions.Proficiency with payroll systems, spreadsheets, and general computer applications.Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Customer service mindset with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and confidentially.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.Strong judgment, accountability, and commitment to ethical conduct.
