PCB - Hardware Engineer

An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing defence technology company developing next-generation automation, robotics and autonomous systems.This is a hands-on hardware role with genuine ownership across the full development lifecycle — from system architecture and PCB design through to hardware bring-up, testing, integration and qualification. It’s also a great opportunity to join a business that is scaling into the US, with the chance to play a key role in that international growth.The role will involve owning hardware architectures, designing and validating complex PCBs, working with high-speed digital interfaces, leading design reviews, and carrying out hands-on debugging and system-level testing. You’ll also work with lab equipment, develop electrical harnesses and wiring assemblies, collaborate closely with FPGA, software, mechanical and systems teams, and support EMC, vibration, thermal and environmental qualification testing.What We're Looking For3+ years’ experience delivering complex electronics hardwareStrong PCB design, layout and hardware bring-up experienceExperience with high-speed digital design and signal integrityStrong hardware debugging and fault-isolation skillsExperience defining board or system-level architectureComfortable working hands-on with laboratory equipmentExperience with soldering, crimping and harness fabricationBEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering or a related disciplineExperience with any of the following would be highly advantageous:FPGA design and integrationLinux-based SoCsNVIDIA SoMsSignal and power integrityPCB simulationHigh-reliability electronicsFault-tolerant architecturesEnvironmental qualification and verificationYou’ll be joining a highly technical and ambitious defence business working at the intersection of hardware, robotics, automation and autonomy, with the opportunity to see your designs progress from concept through to integrated systems.If you’re an electronics/hardware engineer looking for a role where you can take real ownership and work on genuinely challenging technology, get in touch.📩 DM me or apply for more information.
