Full job descriptionABOUT COAST PSYCHOLOGYCoast Psychology is a neuroaffirming group private practice in Oyster Bay, New York, specializing in neuropsychological assessment and evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. We are a collaborative, clinically rigorous, and compasionate team.POSITION OVERVIEWWe are seeking a fully licensed, doctoral-level psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with expertise in both neuropsychological assessment and individual therapy. This is a full-time W-2 position with a minimum of 24 dedicated face-to-face clinical hours. Work from home 2 days per week with flexible scheduling. Two evenings per week required. The schedule is designed to be sustainable and to leave room for a life outside the office.The ideal candidate works enthusiastically with children ages 4 and above for both testing and therapy, brings genuine skill in neuropsychological assessment, and wants to be part of a practice that is growing intentionally. This is not a placement - we are building a team.This role requires willingness and enthusiasm to work with children ages 4+ for both therapy and testing. Candidates who prefer an adult-only caseload are not a fit for this position.This role is not a fit for clinicians intending to establish their own independent practice. We are investing in the people who join us, and we are looking for clinicians who want to grow with the practice and be a part of a team long-term.SCHEDULE & STRUCTURETotal weekly hours: 30–40 hours per week, minimum 24 direct clinical hours per week (therapy + testing combined)Hybrid: On-site at our Oyster Bay office 3 days a week, remote work can scale dependent on referral needsWorking weeks: Approximately 48 clinical working weeks per yearPTO: 4 weeks inclusive of holidays and sick timeW-2 employment: Full W-2 employee with all applicable protections and employer contributionsRESPONSIBILITIESNeuropsychological AssessmentComplete a minimum of 1 comprehensive psychological evaluation per week (up to 2 or more for clinicians seeking higher earning potential)Administer, score, and interpret a full neuropsychological and psychoeducational battery for clients ages 4 and aboveConduct ADOS-2 and related autism diagnostic assessmentsWrite thorough, clearly articulated evaluation reports with evidence-based recommendations accessible to families, educators, and referring providersPresent findings at CSE meetings or due process hearingsAccurately differentiate ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditionsTherapyProvide individual therapy for children ages 4+, adolescents, and adultsApply advanced, evidence-based CBT and related frameworksMaintain a consistent therapy caseload secondary to testing responsibilitiesDocumentation & ComplianceClinicians are responsible for completing their own clinical documentation, evaluation reports, and progress notes in a timely mannerMaintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA and applicable professional and licensing standardsPractice & Team ResponsibilitiesParticipate in weekly clinical supervision and case consultationCollaborate with the multidisciplinary team and external providers for coordinated careSupervise junior clinicians as needed and as interest allowsParticipate in practice outreach events and community marketing initiativesEngage in ongoing professional development to remain current in assessment and treatmentCOMPENSATION DETAILCompensation range$120,000–$180,000+ total compensation annually: structure includes base salary plus variable pay which scales with licensure level and years of post-licensure experienceTesting performance bonusUp to 15% revenue share of collected testing revenue, paid quarterly on top of base salary with no capEarning potentialTotal cash grows meaningfully with evaluation volume.Annual increasesTransparent, structured pay progression tied to tenure at the practice and years of post-licensure experienceAdditional BenefitsPaid Family Medical Leave and short-term disability coverageProfessional liability insurance covered by the practice, no tail coverage neededCEU Stipend401K/RetirementPersonal computer providedFull access to neuropsychological testing materials and softwarePremium Oyster Bay office space in a National Historic Landmark building within walking distance to shops and restaurantsDedicated receptionistsBilling supportAdministrative and scheduling coordination supportMarketing support and established referral pipelineWeekly supervision available to all clinicians4 weeks PTO, inclusive of holidays and sick timeREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSPhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or a closely related fieldFull, unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in New York StateWillingness and enthusiasm to work with children ages 4+ for both therapy and assessmentFormal ADOS-2 training and demonstrated assessment experienceStrong clinical background with children, adolescents, and neurodivergent populationsAdvanced training in CBT and at least one related evidence-based modalitySkilled differential diagnosis across ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities, and related neurodevelopmental conditionsExceptional written communication: able to make complex findings clear to families and referring professionalsAvailability for evening hours and commitment to the practice’s scheduling requirementsExpected minimum two-year commitment to the rolePreferred QualificationsBoard certification in neuropsychology (ABPP-CN) or eligibility under Houston Conference GuidelinesPostdoctoral training in assessment with pediatric/adolescent emphasisExperience presenting at CSE meetings or in due process proceedingsEstablished referral relationships in the Long Island areaWHY COAST PSYCHOLOGYA sustainable schedule30–40 hours per week with a minimum of 24 face-to-face clinical hours.Real growth potentialWe are a practice with a clear vision and a plan to grow.
