Because the hospital is locally governed and community owned, leadership is able to make decisions with the needs of patients, families, staff, and the local community in mind.The OpportunityReporting to the Director of Women’s & Children’s Services, this leader will oversee:33-bed Pediatric Med/Surg Unit12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care UnitApproximately 54 FTEsClinical Nurse Leads on each shift who support scheduling, problem solving, interviews, annual reviews, and day-to-day operationsThis is a well-established, close-knit pediatric team with a strong sense of ownership and pride in the care they provide. They are looking for a leader who understands that relationships matter — someone who can earn trust, become part of the team, mentor staff, and continue building on an already strong foundation.Pediatrics & PICUThe pediatric program cares for patients from newborn through young adulthood across a wide range of medical and surgical needs.Pediatric Med/Surg33 private roomsMedical and surgical pediatricsOrthopedic cases including scoliosis, fractures, and congenital repairsCranial surgeriesDiabetes careTransitions from NICU and Mother/BabyVideo epilepsy monitoring1:5–6 RN ratios with PCT supportPICU12 private roomsCritically ill infants, children, and young adultsRespiratory illness and respiratory failureComplex surgical and cranial casesScoliosis surgeryDiabetes and medical admissionsVideo epilepsy monitoring1:1–2 RN ratiosBoth units practice interdisciplinary bedside rounding with physicians, nursing, social work, case management, pharmacy, and ancillary teams.
