Job Title: Performance Capture Director (1 Position)About the JobWe are seeking an experienced, creative, and technically skilled Performance Capture Director to lead the planning, direction, and execution of performance capture sessions for AI-powered digital humans, virtual characters, avatars, and immersive interactive experiences. The successful candidate will oversee the complete performance capture process, ensuring that actors' movements, facial expressions, voice performances, and emotional delivery are accurately translated into believable digital characters. This is a hands-on leadership role working closely with performers, AI engineers, animators, motion capture technicians, writers, technical artists, and creative directors to produce world-class digital performances.ResponsibilitiesLead the creative direction and execution of motion capture, facial capture, and performance capture sessions for digital humans and virtual characters.Direct actors and performers to achieve realistic emotional expression, body language, timing, and character consistency.Collaborate with AI engineers, animators, technical artists, and character designers to translate captured performances into high-quality digital experiences.Develop performance capture workflows, production guidelines, creative briefs, and quality standards.Plan production schedules and coordinate capture sessions with multidisciplinary creative and technical teams.Review captured performance data and provide creative feedback to improve realism, animation quality, and emotional authenticity.Work closely with voice directors, acting coaches, writers, and conversation designers to ensure consistency between physical and verbal performances.Research emerging technologies in motion capture, facial animation, AI-powered character development, virtual production, and immersive media.Manage documentation, production records, technical specifications, and performance archives.Support demonstrations, workshops, presentations, and innovation initiatives related to digital human technologies and performance capture.QualificationsMinimum BA/MA in Film, Theatre, Performing Arts, Animation, Digital Media, Game Development, Computer Graphics, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.At least 5 years of professional experience in performance capture, motion capture, film production, game development, animation, virtual production, or related creative industries.Strong understanding of acting direction, body mechanics, facial performance, storytelling, and character development.Experience directing motion capture performers, facial capture sessions, or virtual production pipelines.Knowledge of AI-powered digital humans, real-time animation, game engines, conversational AI, or immersive technologies is highly desirable.Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams of performers, engineers, artists, and designers.Experience managing production schedules, creative workflows, and technical coordination.Portfolio or track record demonstrating successful performance capture, animation, film, gaming, or digital production projects.Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset.What We OfferThe opportunity to lead the creation of next-generation AI-powered digital humans and immersive character experiences.A collaborative team of AI specialists, performers, animators, developers, designers, researchers, and creative technologists.Competitive compensation and access to advanced motion capture systems, virtual production technologies, AI tools, and creative resources.Opportunities to contribute to innovative projects involving digital humans, gaming, XR, conversational AI, film production, and immersive storytelling.Professional development, industry visibility, and opportunities to help shape the future of performance capture and digital character production.A flexible, collaborative, and innovation-driven working environment that values creativity, technical excellence, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.How to ApplyPlease submit the following to farhang@parsikia.ir with the subject line "Performance Capture Director":1.
