We combine advanced physiological testing, evidence-based protocols, and a high-touch coaching model to help members perform at their best and age well. Our Performance team works with leading researchers and clinicians across medicine, sleep science, stress physiology, and longevity to deliver care that is both scientifically rigorous and deeply personal.Role Description We're looking for an exceptional Performance Coach who combines advanced exercise physiology, outstanding coaching, and skilled hands-on manual therapy. You'll run physiological testing and interpret complex data across multiple technologies. You'll turn those insights into personalized training, recovery, and lifestyle programs, and deliver them in person and through our virtual training platform. This role suits someone equally comfortable interpreting a DEXA report, coaching a squat pattern, treating soft-tissue restrictions, and talking through a member's week with them. You'll work in our central laboratory and performance suite, and you'll also visit members at home for testing, coaching, and treatment. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, scientists, and specialists, and together you'll support members who need frequent, high-quality contact. What You'll DoPhysiological testing and assessmentConduct physical output testing, including VO2max and cardiorespiratory assessments, force plate protocols (jumps, isometrics, balance), dynamometry, and power testing, to consistent research-grade standards.Run and interpret movement assessments using markerless motion capture and biomechanical screening technologies. Identify movement limitations, asymmetries, and injury risk.Interpret DEXA body composition and bone mineral density results, and put them in context for each member's training, aging trajectory, and long-term health goals.Combine data from different tests into one clear picture of each member's physiology, and set baselines that allow change to be tracked meaningfully over time.Manual therapy and recoveryDeliver hands-on manual therapy, including deep tissue massage, acupuncture, and dry needling, within the scope of your licensure, to support recovery, tissue quality, pain management, and movement restoration.Use assessment findings to decide which manual therapy techniques to use, and combine treatment with each member's training program so that hands-on work and exercise support each other.Keep accurate treatment records, and coordinate with our clinical team when a member's presentation calls for medical input or referral.Program design and coachingDesign and deliver individualized training programs based on sound exercise physiology. Adjust volume, intensity, frequency, and exercise selection to each member's goals, capacity, and schedule.Coach in person, in the performance suite and in members' homes, with excellent technical instruction and attention to detail.Build, deliver, and manage exercise programs on our virtual training software, so that members get continuous, high-quality coaching between in-person sessions and while traveling.Apply a deep understanding of how sleep, stress, and nutrition affect physiological systems, and use it to shape training decisions and recovery strategies with healthy aging in mind.Use behavioral change methods to build lasting habits. Understand what motivates each member, notice the obstacles to adherence, and adapt your approach so members achieve meaningful, measurable change.Data managementTake ownership of the accuracy, organization, and integrity of member testing and training data across our platforms.Monitor training adherence, performance metrics, and longitudinal test results. Flag trends and use the data to adjust programming.Help improve our data workflows and reporting, so that insights reach members and the wider team clearly and on time.Multidisciplinary collaborationWork closely with physicians, researchers, and specialist colleagues to deliver integrated care for members with complex, high-touch needs.Communicate findings clearly and credibly to members, their teams, and internal stakeholders. Translate complex data into plain language and practical next steps.Contribute to developing and refining The WNDR Lab's evidence-based testing, coaching, and recovery protocols. What You'll BringA degree in exercise physiology, sports science, kinesiology, or a related field. A master's degree or higher is strongly preferred.Recognized professional certification, such as NSCA-CSCS, ACSM-EP, or an equivalent.Current New York State licensure covering the manual therapy you'll provide.
