More information about ServiceLink is available at https://www.servicelink.com/.Role Description The Performance Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In this role, the Performance Engineer will analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with development and operations teams to design scalable solutions. Daily responsibilities include planning and executing performance, load, and stress tests, monitoring system metrics, and recommending optimizations across applications and infrastructure. The Performance Engineer will create and maintain performance test scripts, document findings, and contribute to performance engineering best practices and standards. This position also involves partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that new and existing applications meet performance, reliability, and stability requirements.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in performance engineering and analysis for complex, distributed systems — including proficiency with industry-standard load testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Micro Focus LoadRunner, VuGen, JMeter, Gatling, or k6)Solid software development foundation in at least one modern language (Java, C#, or Python) with hands-on familiarity with APIs and microservices architectureExperience with APM and monitoring platforms such as Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, or equivalent — with the ability to interpret system metrics, traces, and logs to identify and resolve performance bottlenecksWorking knowledge of web application architectures, database performance, caching strategies, and cloud or virtualized infrastructure (Azure preferred)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and a high standard for documentation and reporting clarityEffective communicator and collaborator — able to translate performance findings into actionable recommendations for engineering, QA, operations, and product stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experienceThe base pay range for this position is: $110,000-$130,000.
