Performance QA Team Lead (World of Warships, PC)

Job OverviewWargaming is looking for a Performance QA Team Lead to join our World of Warships PC team. In this role, you’ll lead the Performance QA team, drive performance testing and automation, investigate performance issues, and help ensure a smooth and stable experience for our players.We’re looking for a technical leader with a strong and broad background in performance engineering, who can combine hands-on expertise with team leadership and help us continuously improve our performance testing practices.Reports toHead of QAWhat will you do?Lead the Performance QA team: task planning, coordination, mentoring, and technical guidanceDefine and maintain performance testing strategy, coverage, baselines, thresholds, and regression criteriaInvestigate performance regressions, identify bottlenecks, and drive root-cause analysis across client, backend, and system-level componentsDrive performance testing and automation across game client, backend services, network interactions, and system-level scenariosCreate and maintain test infrastructure, tools, and frameworks for QA teamMaintain documentation for performance tests, tools, and testing processesCollaborate with development and other teams to analyze performance results and drive improvementsIntegrate and maintain performance testing within CI/CD pipelinesParticipate in architectural and technical design reviews from a QA perspectiveWhat are we looking for?4+ years of experience in Performance QA, Performance Engineering, or related areasExperience in leading QA teams or technical leadershipWorking experience with PythonStrong understanding of performance engineering principles and the ability to investigate performance issues across complex systemsExperience in at least one of the following areas: client performance, backend/load performance, distributed systems, or system-level performance analysisUpper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English knowledgeWhat additional skills will help you stand out?Experience in game development or performance testing of PC gamesKnowledge of PC architecture and component interaction (CPU, GPU, memory, disk I/O)Experience with game client profiling and GPU profiling toolsExperience with high-load or distributed backend systemsExperience evaluating, adopting, or integrating AI-assisted tools to improve team workflows, test development, and reportingWork modeThis position is open in our Belgrade or Nicosia officeDuring the probation period: onsite workAfter the probation period: onsite or hybrid (3 days per week in the office)This role is eligible for relocation & immigration supportBenefitsBenefits and perks are tailored to the local market and culture.
