About the CompanyThe Perfumer & Laboratory Manager is responsible for leading fragrance creation, product development, and laboratory operations at our client office. The role combines creative perfumery expertise with operational leadership to ensure the development of innovative, high-quality fragrance products while maintaining efficient laboratory, inventory, and supplier management processes. This position plays a critical role in driving innovation, overseeing fragrance technology development, managing customer and supplier relationships, and ensuring the successful launch of new products across the at our client portfolio.About the RoleThe Perfumer & Laboratory Manager is responsible for leading fragrance creation, product development, and laboratory operations at our client office.ResponsibilitiesFragrance Formulation & Product DevelopmentCreate and develop new fragrance formulations from concept to commercialization.Review, optimize, and improve existing formulations for performance, longevity, cost efficiency, and market relevance.Analyze market fragrance trends and identify opportunities for portfolio expansion.Evaluate raw materials and aroma chemicals for quality, consistency, and suitability.Maintain accurate formulation records, specifications, and version control systems.Conduct fragrance matching projects using sensory evaluation and analytical techniques.Innovation & Technology DevelopmentResearch and develop innovative fragrance technologies, including:Encapsulation technologiesActiMoods systemsMalodor counteraction technologiesPET fragrancesAllergen-free formulationsAssess emerging fragrance delivery technologies and recommend implementation opportunities.Collaborate with suppliers and technical partners to introduce proven innovations into product development.Laboratory & Inventory ManagementOversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.Conduct weekly visits to factories and warehouses to verify stock levels, storage conditions, and inventory accuracy.Evaluate returned products and identify root causes of quality or performance issues.Monitor excess stock and raw material utilization to minimize waste.Prepare and distribute monthly reports on non-moving aroma oils and recommend corrective actions.Regularly assess raw material quality and consistency.Supplier & Client ManagementSource, evaluate, and negotiate with fragrance and raw material suppliers.Develop strategic relationships with high-quality global suppliers.Manage customer briefs and convert project requirements into development plans.Act as the primary technical contact throughout project lifecycles.Project & Supply Chain ManagementLead projects from concept through formulation, production, launch, and post-launch review.Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to ensure timely execution.Monitor global raw material availability and market trends.Develop contingency sourcing strategies to mitigate supply disruptions and cost fluctuations.Market Research & Portfolio DevelopmentConduct market intelligence studies on fragrance trends and consumer preferences.Analyze regional sales performance and identify opportunities for localized fragrance development.Recommend portfolio additions and product improvements to strengthen market competitiveness.Customer Complaints & Technical SupportInvestigate customer complaints related to fragrance quality, performance, or application.Conduct site visits to assess real-world product performance.Determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.Ensure customer satisfaction through effective resolution and follow-up.Product Launch ManagementLead new product launches across:AerosolsCar DiffusersAroma OilsReed DiffusersGreen Signal product rangeDeliver at least two new Aroma Oil launches every two months.Coordinate technical readiness, formulation approvals, and launch timelines.R&D Coordination & Device CompatibilityWork closely with R&D teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.Verify fragrance compatibility with existing and new dispensing devices and technologies.Resolve formulation and equipment compatibility issues before commercialization.Training & Team DevelopmentDevelop and deliver technical training programs for:Sales teamsNew employeesAgents and distributorsCreate product knowledge materials and technical documentation.Support onboarding and continuous skill development initiatives.Customized & Private Label ProjectsLead bespoke fragrance development projects for strategic customers.Support private-label and region-specific product programs.Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Management to align technical solutions with commercial objectives.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Perfumery, Chemical Sciences, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience as a Perfumer, Fragrance Formulator, or related role.Experience managing laboratory operations and product development projects.Strong understanding of aroma chemicals, essential oils, and fragrance formulation techniques.Experience in inventory management, quality systems, and supplier management.You may also register your profile through our website and apply here: https://nadia-me.com/job/details/639
