In this role, the Personal Banker works directly with clients to understand their financial needs, provide tailored banking solutions, and deepen relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up. Daily responsibilities include assisting with deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiries; opening new checking, savings, and other deposit accounts; and educating clients on products and services that support their financial goals. The Personal Banker also helps identify opportunities for referrals to specialists in lending, investments, or other areas, while adhering to regulatory requirements and bank policies. This position requires consistent, high-quality customer service, accurate transaction processing, and a strong focus on client satisfaction and financial wellness.Qualifications Strong knowledge of personal banking products and services, including experience with deposits and opening new accounts.Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to build relationships, listen actively, and resolve issues effectively.Basic understanding of finance and banking operations, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to clients.Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions, documentation, and compliance requirements.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and verbal communication.Comfort with technology, including banking software, CRM tools, and standard office applications.Ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with branch team members.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field is beneficial.Prior experience in retail banking, financial services, or a client-facing sales environment is preferred.
