- Coordinate occupational health and safety programs and initiatives
- Conduct workplace risk assessments and preventive inspections
- Analyze workplace accidents and recommend corrective measures
- Develop and implement prevention and employee wellness programs
- Advise managers and employees on OHS legislation, policies, and best practices
- Monitor health and safety performance indicators and trends
- Participate in and support workplace health and safety committees
- Deliver training and awareness sessions across the organizationQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field
- Occupational hygiene training required
- Occupational Health & Safety certification is considered an asset
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in occupational hygieneSkills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- Ability to build partnerships and collaborate effectively
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulationsLanguages
- Fluency in English and French
- Knowledge of Cree is an assetOTHER
