Role Description The Artificial Lift and Flow Assurance Research Group (ALFA) is inviting applications for a postdoctoral fellowship funded by TOTALENERGIES, with a focus on single and two-phase flow with non-Newtonian fluid and fluid mechanics. The project includes single-phase and two-phase flow studies in horizontal, inclined and vertical pipe configurations. The selected candidate will join the ALFA Research Group at CEPETRO - UNICAMP, gaining access to a dedicated computing infrastructure, industry-grade measurement systems, and state-of-the-art facilities for fluid characterization.Job DutiesThe candidate will develop and test hypotheses related to single-phase and two-phase flow of viscoplastic fluid modeled as a Herschel-Bulkley model. The activities includ fluid characterization, flow experiments, and data analysis. Responsibilities also include publishing research findings in high-impact journals, presenting results at conferences and scientific meetings, and supporting postgraduate students. In addition, the person will monitor the assembly process of the experimental flowline, dealing with suppliers and mechanical technicians.QualificationsPh.D. in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering, or related fields involving flow experiments and fluid characterization.
