قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجRole DescriptionWe are seeking a highly analytical, innovative, and results-oriented Petroleum Engineer to support the exploration, evaluation, development, and production of oil and gas resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing reservoir performance, designing drilling and production strategies, improving hydrocarbon recovery, and ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations. This role collaborates closely with geologists, geophysicists, drilling engineers, production engineers, reservoir engineers, HSE professionals, and operations teams to maximize asset value and support sustainable energy development.Key responsibilities include evaluating oil and gas reservoirs to estimate reserves, forecast production, and identify opportunities for enhanced recovery; developing drilling, completion, and production strategies that optimize operational efficiency and hydrocarbon recovery; performing reservoir simulation, production forecasting, decline curve analysis, and economic evaluations to support field development planning; collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design well programs, optimize well placement, and improve production performance; monitoring well performance, production data, pressure behavior, and reservoir characteristics to recommend operational improvements; supporting drilling operations by providing engineering analysis, well design recommendations, and technical guidance; evaluating artificial lift systems, stimulation techniques, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods, and production optimization technologies; conducting technical and economic feasibility studies for field development projects, workovers, and production enhancement initiatives; ensuring compliance with industry regulations, health, safety, environmental (HSE) standards, and corporate policies; preparing engineering reports, technical documentation, production analyses, and presentations for management and project stakeholders; utilizing reservoir management software, production optimization tools, and engineering applications to improve decision-making; participating in risk assessments, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives; supporting digital transformation projects involving data analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, and predictive maintenance; and staying informed about emerging technologies, sustainability initiatives, carbon management practices, and advancements in the energy industry.The Petroleum Engineer is expected to combine strong engineering expertise with analytical thinking and commercial awareness to maximize resource recovery while maintaining operational safety, environmental stewardship, and economic performance. Success in this role requires excellent problem-solving skills, technical communication, collaboration, and the ability to manage complex engineering challenges in dynamic operational environments.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Strong understanding of reservoir engineering, drilling engineering, production engineering, well completion, and field development principles.Knowledge of reservoir simulation, production optimization, pressure transient analysis, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and artificial lift systems.Familiarity with industry software such as Petrel, Eclipse, CMG, OFM, Techlog, Prosper, GAP, Pipesim, Landmark, Kingdom, or similar petroleum engineering applications.Understanding of drilling operations, well integrity, production systems, surface facilities, and hydrocarbon processing.Knowledge of health, safety, environmental (HSE) regulations, risk management, and industry standards applicable to upstream oil and gas operations.Proficiency in engineering analysis, numerical modeling, data interpretation, and technical reporting.Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex engineering and operational data.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary technical teams and external stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, engineering software, and data visualization tools.Familiarity with digital oilfield technologies, automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and predictive analytics in energy operations is advantageous.Professional registration or membership with recognized engineering institutions and certifications related to petroleum engineering, reservoir management, drilling, production optimization, or project management are considered advantageous but are not mandatory.Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about evolving energy technologies, carbon capture and storage (CCS), sustainability initiatives, digital transformation, reservoir management techniques, and industry best practices.
