If you’re looking to advance your career while making a meaningful impact in healthcare, we’d love to hear from you.Pharmaceutical Production Pharmacist (Solid Dosage Forms)Location: Tripoli, LibyaDepartment: Production / OperationsEmployment Type: Full-timeJob PurposeThe Production Pharmacist will oversee and manage the daily manufacturing operations of solid oral dosage forms (Tablets, Capsules, and Dry Powders). This role ensures that all manufacturing processes adhere strictly to international cGMP guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and local regulatory requirements, while optimizing production efficiency and maintaining the highest standards of product quality.Key Responsibilities & DutiesProduction Management & Setup Oversee the end-to-end manufacturing process of solid medications, including raw material dispensing, dispensing validation, granulation, blending, compression, coating, and capsule filling. Assist in the initial installation, operational qualification, and calibration of production machinery. Monitor production schedules to ensure output targets are met efficiently without compromising quality.Quality Assurance & GMP Compliance Ensure strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) throughout the production line. Prepare, review, and update Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packaging Records (BPR). Draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes and equipment operation. Collaborate closely with Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to investigate any process deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) results, or production issues.Technical Expertise & Instrumentation Troubleshoot formulation and processing challenges (e.g., tablet capping, sticking, hardness variation, or dissolution issues). Work in alignment with analytical laboratories utilizing high-end instrumentation like HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and FTIR (Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) to ensure in-process materials match specifications before moving to the next production phase.Team Leadership & Safety Supervise, train, and mentor production technicians and operators on equipment handling, safety protocols, and hygiene standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment compliant with environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.Job Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Pharmaceutical Sciences. A Master’s degree in Industrial Pharmacy or Pharmaceutics is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of direct experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, specifically within a Solid Dosage Form facility. Proven experience in a startup, facility expansion, or equipment validation phase is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Deep understanding of solid formulation technologies (wet/dry granulation, direct compression, film coating). Strong working knowledge of cleanroom classifications, HVAC systems for solids, and cross-contamination prevention strategies. Thorough understanding of international GMP guidelines (WHO, EMA, or equivalent). Soft Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, analytical troubleshootingw skills, excellent documentation habits, and the ability to work under tight regulatory timelines. Languages: Proficiency in English (technical terminology) and Arabic.
