Please note that remote work is not available at this time.Full-time roles involve working 40 hours per week, Part- time and Full-time Roles include participation in a weekend scheduleKey Responsibilities:Team LeadershipCollaborate with a team of Pharmacists to facilitate efficient medication dispensingFoster a positive and cooperative team atmosphereAssist in mentoring junior staff and trainees, helping them develop skills and confidencePromptly and accurately address queries from the Pharmacy TeamPatient CarePerform Clinical Checks and verify that prescriptions comply with legal and regulatory requirementsEvaluate the suitability of prescriptions and dispensed medications, providing patient-centred careConduct final accuracy checks on dispensed medicationsDeliver comprehensive counselling on medication use, potential side effects, and adherencePrescriber & Healthcare Professional SupportRespond to medical inquiries from prescribers and healthcare professionalsProvide guidance on drug interactions, dosing, and optimal prescribing practicesRegulatory Compliance & SafetyEnsure adherence to GPhC standards, UK regulations, and internal proceduresMaintain patient safety protocols throughout all pharmacy operationsProfessional Development & Continuous LearningRemain up to date on advancements in pharmacy and healthRequirementsEssential RequirementsMust have a current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)Must have a qualification as a Pharmacist (MPharm degree or equivalent)Ideally will have a minimum of two years post-registration experience. Newly qualified pharmacists who demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care will be consideredFoundation Pharmacists who have completed their training and are awaiting GPhC registration will be considered, but should make their registration status clear in their application/cover letter. Stage 1 - Application Review* - We'll review your application (usually within 1-2 working days) to ensure it meets the essential criteria for the role Stage 2 - Telephone Interview* - If shortlisted, you'll be invited to self-schedule a short telephone interview with our Recruitment Coordinator or a senior staff member. Stage 3 - Video Interview - Successful applicants will then have a remote interview via Microsoft Teams with a senior member of the Pharmacy Team Stage 4 - On-site Visit - If progressing, you'll be invited to visit our pharmacy for a tour, meet the team, and get a feel for the working environment. You'll also spend time in the areas relevant to the role to see what a typical day might look like Stage 5 - Final Review - A member of our Senior Leadership Team will review your application and interview feedback.
