Team members work in a setting where scientific knowledge is applied directly to community health and daily patient needs.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Pharmacist will accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications, verify prescriptions, and review patient histories to identify potential drug interactions or contraindications. Responsibilities include counseling patients on correct medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage, and providing clear guidance on treatment plans. The Pharmacist will coordinate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions, suggest alternatives when appropriate, and support medication therapy management. Additional duties include maintaining medication inventory, ensuring proper storage and expiration control, adhering to all legal and regulatory standards, and contributing to a clean, organized, and patient-centered pharmacy environment.Qualifications Licensed Pharmacist (or eligibility for licensure) with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and safe medication use.Proficiency in prescription processing, medication dispensing, and use of pharmacy information systems or POS software.Excellent patient counseling and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in clear, accessible language.High attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with local pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards in Egypt.Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and support staff in a busy community pharmacy setting.Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple prescriptions and patient requests efficiently.Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and providing respectful, inclusive care to all patients.Previous experience in a community or hospital pharmacy is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.Basic computer literacy and comfort with electronic health records or digital prescription systems.
