The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately, verify prescriptions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols. Daily responsibilities include counseling patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions, as well as maintaining detailed and secure pharmacy records. The role involves coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions, optimize therapy, and address medication-related queries. The Pharmacist will also manage inventory, monitor medication storage conditions, support quality assurance activities, and contribute to patient safety initiatives within the facility.Qualifications Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions, with the ability to apply clinical judgment in medication dispensing and counseling.Proficiency in prescription verification, medication reconciliation, and documentation using pharmacy information systems or electronic health records.Understanding of pharmacy laws, regulatory standards, and best practices related to medication safety, storage, and controlled substances.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients, collaborate with clinicians, and handle sensitive health information with discretion.Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage inventory, track expiries, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.Relevant academic qualification such as a Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm / Pharm.D) from an accredited institution.Valid pharmacist registration/license as required by local regulatory authorities.Prior experience in a hospital, clinical, or retail pharmacy setting is preferred; experience in coordinated or integrated care environments is an advantage.Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and adherence to patient safety and quality improvement standards.
