The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions, verify dosages, and check for potential drug interactions. Responsibilities include counseling patients on proper medication use, storage, and side effects, and answering medication-related questions from patients and clinical staff. The role involves maintaining prescription records, managing inventory and stock levels, ensuring proper storage conditions, and monitoring expiry dates. The Pharmacist will collaborate with physicians and nurses to support safe prescribing practices, comply with regulatory and hospital protocols, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.Qualifications Relevant pharmacy qualification (e.g., Diploma in Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy) from a recognized institution and valid professional registration as required by local regulations.Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and standard treatment guidelines.Ability to dispense medications accurately, maintain detailed records, and manage inventory efficiently.Effective communication and counseling skills to explain medication use, precautions, and side effects in a clear and respectful manner.Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.Capacity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical teams in a busy hospital environment.Basic computer skills for working with hospital information systems and electronic records; prior hospital or clinical pharmacy experience is an advantage.
