Day-to-day responsibilities include dispensing medications accurately, reviewing prescriptions for potential interactions, and counseling patients on proper medication use, side effects, and storage. The role involves maintaining up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, and managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and checking expiry dates. The Pharmacist will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions, support treatment plans, and provide medication-related guidance. Additional duties include overseeing pharmacy assistants, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and participating in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.Qualifications Possess strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions.Demonstrate skills in prescription review, medication dispensing, and patient counseling.Show proficiency in pharmacy operations such as inventory management, stock rotation, and record-keeping.Exhibit excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills when working with patients and healthcare teams.Maintain attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements related to pharmacy practice.Hold a recognized degree in Pharmacy and current registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body.Display ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and contribute positively to a team-oriented culture.Prior experience in a community or hospital pharmacy setting is an advantage; familiarity with pharmacy software systems is beneficial.
