The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications accurately, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and professional standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include counseling patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage, as well as answering questions related to prescriptions and over-the-counter products. The role involves maintaining proper inventory levels, checking expiry dates, and ensuring safe storage of medicines and supplies. The Pharmacist will also review patient medication histories, collaborate with healthcare providers when needed, and assist with record-keeping, billing, and documentation. Additional duties may include supporting quality assurance processes and contributing to a safe, hygienic, and customer-friendly pharmacy environment.Qualifications Recognized degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or D.Pharm) and valid pharmacist license/registration as per local regulatory requirements.Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and pharmacy laws and regulations.Ability to provide clear, empathetic medication counseling and patient education, with strong verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing, labeling, documentation, and record maintenance.Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems, prescription processing software, and basic computer applications.Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and confidentiality, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and support staff, and to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
