Job PurposeTo accurately dispense medications, pharmaceuticals, and medical supplies to patients and clients in accordance with prescription guidelines and healthcare standards. The Pharmacist is responsible for offering expert drug information, consulting patients on medication use, ensuring strict compliance with health regulations, and maintaining optimal pharmacy inventory controls.Key ResponsibilitiesMedication Dispensing & Processing:Review and verify doctors' prescriptions for accurate dosage, drug interactions, and potential contraindications.Dispense medications accurately, providing clear instructions regarding dosage, administration method, and potential side effects.Inventory & Stock Management:Monitor pharmaceutical inventory levels, log stock movements, and prepare reorder requisitions for missing or low-stock drugs.Ensure all medications and vaccines are stored under proper environmental and temperature conditions according to health authority standards.Regularly inspect expiration dates, quarantine expired or damaged drugs, and execute disposal procedures following regulatory protocols.Compliance & Governance:Maintain strict compliance with Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Ministry of Health (MOH), and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) regulations.Maintain precise records of controlled substances and restricted prescription logs as mandated by law.Patient Care & Consultation:Provide professional counsel to patients regarding safe medication usage, storage, and health maintenance.Serve as a clinical resource for doctors and nursing staff regarding drug alternatives, dosing modifications, and interactions.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.Professional Licensure: Valid professional classification/license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
