UPFH’s pharmacy team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, cost-effective medications and services to improve the health and wellness of the community.Role Description The Pharmacy Director is a full-time, on-site role based in West Jordan, UT, responsible for overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations at Utah Partners for Health. This role manages pharmacy staff, ensures safe and effective dispensing of medications, and upholds regulatory, compliance, and quality standards. The Pharmacy Director collaborates with medical, behavioral health, and substance use treatment teams to optimize pharmaceutical care, support medication-assisted treatment, and enhance patient outcomes. Day-to-day tasks include supervising workflow, managing inventory and formulary decisions, monitoring pharmacy benefit programs, implementing clinical protocols, and supporting patient education on medication use and adherence. The role also involves continuous improvement of processes, participation in organizational initiatives, and engagement in community-focused health programs.Qualifications Strong foundation in Pharmacy Practice and general Pharmacy operations, with the ability to lead day-to-day clinical and dispensing activities.Experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management, including formulary oversight, cost-containment strategies, and coordination with payers.Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Care and Medicine principles to support safe prescribing, medication therapy management, and integrated care with medical and behavioral health teams.Current Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree and active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Utah (or eligibility to obtain).Prior leadership or management experience in a retail, outpatient, or community health pharmacy setting.Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (MAT), chronic disease management, and underserved or safety-net populations is highly beneficial.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to equitable, patient-centered care.Ability to work on-site in West Jordan, UT, and adapt to a dynamic, multidisciplinary clinical environment.
