Pharmacy Director

Job Summary:The Pharmacy Director is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for pharmacy services across the hospital group.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight of inpatient, outpatient, and clinical pharmacy services to ensure safe and efficient operationsDevelop and implement pharmacy policies, procedures, medication management standards, and quality improvement initiativesOversee medication procurement, inventory management, storage, distribution, and cost optimization in coordination with Supply Chain and FinanceMonitor pharmacy performance indicators, medication safety, prescribing practices, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirementsLead pharmacy managers, pharmacists, and technicians while overseeing staffing, workforce development, competency, and performanceCollaborate with medical, nursing, and other clinical departments to improve medication utilization, patient safety, and clinical outcomes

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BPharm, PharmD, or equivalent); Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, or a related field is preferredValid SCFHS professional classification and registration6+ years of relevant pharmacy experience, including significant pharmacy management or leadership experienceStrong experience in hospital pharmacy operations, medication management, inventory control, and pharmaceutical procurementHospital pharmacy leadership experience is requiredKnowledge of medication safety, pharmacy regulations, CBAHI standards, and healthcare accreditation requirements
